MEAD

Weekender Wine Tasting:
Our regular weekend tastings are informal and generally take about 45 minutes. Wine knowledge and reservations are not required.

When you sit down at the tasting bar, we give you a list of current selections with descriptions. The list is in tasting order. A standard tasting, for $11, is five selections. A keepsake wine stem is yours to take home. A sample of table wine, less than 14%, is two ounces. A sample of fortified wine, 14-21% is one ounce. Ports are paired with chocolate. The list varies between 15 to 25 selections. It includes dry white and barrel agedred vinifera varietals, dry to sweet native and hybrid varietals, 8 to 10 meads from dry to sweet, fruit wine, dessert wine and port. Several wines are fortified with our potstilled brandy. Bottled wines are available for sale at the conclusion of your tasting. A few tables are available if you want to purchase a glass and linger a while.

Please give advance notice of at least 5 days if you are bringing a group of more than ten so that we can arrange extra servers.

We have temporarily suspended private tastings. When resumed, information will be posted here.

Wholesale purchases must be made through a state licensed liquor agent.

Sampling/Tasting Room Regulations:

On-premise tasting of our distilled spirit is currently prohibited. However, a recent change to liquor law will permit spirits tasting sometime around the end of March (2012). The effective date will be posted on our homepage as soon as we are notified by Liquor Control.
